General Mills Chocolate Donutz Cereal (1981)
Donutz
Donutz (1980) were, well... singing doughnut-shapped characters without limbs. Created by Alan Snedeker, they were the first singing group from General Mills cereals. Very successful introduction, but the chocolate version was a failure due to bad manufacturing. The lead singer was Axelrod. The other singers were named Hot Rod, Ichabod, and Bruiser. Powdered Donutz (shown) was a "crispy, sweetened, 3-grain (corn, oat, and wheat) cereal". Axelrod wore sunglasses in commercials for the Chocolate Donutz but not on the box.

A couple of great Golden Grahams slogans that had catchy tunes: "Just a kiss of golden honey on those little Golden Grahams. A kiss of golden honey makes smile and wanna say, 'Tastes like honey graham crackers, crispy crunchy all the way'. Oh, yeah, it's gonna be a Golden Grahams day". And... "Oh those Golden Grahams, crispy Golden Grahams, graham cracker taste in cereal, the taste is such a treat. Oh those Golden Grahams, golden honey, just a touch with grahams golden wheat.
