Winnie-the-Pooh found Kanga hurrying about, gathering up sandwiches for a picnic lunch. "Hallo Kanga," said Pooh. "Hello Pooh," welcomed Kanga. "I'm trying to get to Poohsticks Bridge for lunch. Roo went on ahead with Tigger." "I'm helping Eeyore find his tail," said Pooh quickly. "Have you seen it?" "Last time I saw it," replied Kanga, "it was on Eeyore's backside." "I already looked there," said Pooh, "and the more I looked, the more it wasn't there. What's that in your hand?" "It's a napkin, silly. We're having watercress sandwiches. I can make you one," offered Kanga. "I already ate at Rabbit's house," said Pooh politely. "You wouldn't happen to have a hunny sandwich, would you?" "No, I wouldn't happen," said Kanga. "Pooh, be a dear and carry this picnic basket for me to the bridge? Maybe Roo and Tigger have seen Eeyore's tail." Pooh took the basket from Kanga and they walked to the Bridge where he saw Roo and Tigger dropping fir cones over the bridge. | |
