The Freakie Magnet focuses on cereal boxes and prizes from the 1960's to TODAY. Each issue contains collector articles, classified's, letters, news, 100's of pictures, and a full color cover. Hardcopy issues #14, #15, and #16 are in full color cover to cover! UPDATE: Freakie Magnet started with two letters, which were called "Freakie Magnet 1" and "Freakie Magnet 1a". Kevin Meisner elaborated, "At first it was only going to be about getting Freakies enthusiasts together. Then Duane Dimmock convinced me to make the thing for ALL cereal collectors. After that the actual 12 page 'Freakie Magnet #1' was produced. We did 17 issues and a follow up issue". BONUS: Full issue reproductions are now available online! Click any PDF link below to view the entire glorious issue of "The Freakie Magnet". Covers are reproduced in full color while the balance of the magazine is reproduced in black and white. The back cover is in greyscale. Most Issues Include: 3-to-4 Feature Articles, Cereal News, a Comic strip, "Free Inside" Classifieds, Gnarly New (by Mikal), and what we would now consider as Vintage Advertising. Below you can see exactly what the zine covers look like, as well as what articles are featured in each issue... |
