Quakies (1920) were small magical spirits which looked like miniature Quakers. The story goes like this..."Everywhere about us live Good Spirits, Elves, and Pixies. The first Quakers in America had befriended the Indians, who then shared with them the secrets of corn. The Quakers were told that the corn contained the Three Good Spirits of Beautiful Youth - the Spirit of Strength, the Spirit of Courage, and the Spirit of Truth". Quaker brought these Three Good Spirits of Beautiful Youth to you in a fairy box of this "new kind" of corn flake. |
